Quarterly Meeting and CCU Presentation - Pelvic Floor Therapy (CAD)

Pelvic floor therapy has historically been misrepresented in general due to lack of understanding of the multiple components involved. This course aims to clarify some of these misunderstandings and provide a basic knowledge of what the pelvic floor is and how this speciality has advanced in more recent years. 1 CCU At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to: Speaker(s) Jordyn Maxwell PT, DPT received her Bachelors of Science in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon in 2018 before continuing on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2022.She fell in love with the profession of physical therapy and the unique opportunity to enrich people’s lives through movement and education. From there, she discovered the specialty of pelvic health and knew she had found her passion. She has been working as a pelvic floor physical therapist at Origin Physical Therapy since she started her career.Jordyn is originally from Bend, Oregon and now lives in the Austin area with her partner and their dog. In her free time, she enjoys being outside, staying active with numerous hobbies (running, climbing, yoga, skiing, etc.), cooking delicious food, and spending quality time with those she loves. CAD provides financial support to district PT/PTA students to attend professional meetings in order to enhance their education and leadership development. Studies show that students who attend a professional conference are more likely to stay involved in their professional organization once graduated.
