Matthew Morretta received his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2009. Upon graduation he moved to Austin, Texas and began working for Texas Physical Therapy Specialists while completing his orthopedic physical therapy residency. In 2011, he became Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) by the American Physical Therapy Association. In 2015 Matt completed a fellowship in orthopaedic manual physical therapy through Evidence In Motion and became a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.

Dr. Morretta has clinical interests in the therapeutic alliance and the engagement and communication it takes for a successful therapy experience. Outside of the clinic Matt has taught on trigger point dry needling at multiple physical therapy state conferences and has participated as a test-item writer for the National Physical Therapy Examination. He currently is active in mentoring orthopaedic residents and fellows and in instructing Doctor of Physical Therapy candidates. Along with working as a staff therapist for Texas Physical Therapy Specialists, Matt teaches on advanced clinical reasoning.
