Course Description:

 This will be a speaker topic for the September meeting of the East Texas District at Villa Montez restaurant in Tyler, TX.

 

Objectives:

1. Discuss the relevance of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health to physical therapy documentation that is thorough, concise, and paints a clear picture of the patient assessment, interventions, and outcomes.

2. Discuss Medicare requirements for amendments, corrections, and delayed entries in medical documentation.

 

Speaker Bio:

Julie Hardy has her Bachelor and Master's Degree in Physical Therapy and has extensive experience in home health and acute care settings both in direct patient care and supervisory positions. She is currently the clinical education consultant with Encompass Home Health out of the Dallas office. She has been an active APTA member since 1978 and has served at the district and state level in various elected positions.
