This course offers physical therapists and physical therapy assistants an overview of total joint replacement and recovery, and provides specific guidelines for successful treatment. Emphasis is on therapeutic exercise, gait training, and ROM techniques that are necessary to facilitate optimal functional outcomes for individuals who have undergone a knee or hip replacement.


Speaker Bios:

David Penn received a BS in PT from Southwest Texas State University in 1990, a DPT at Creighton University in 2004, and conducted his fellowship at Regis University in Denver Colorado. He is currently the the managing partner/owner of Quadrangle Properties, Super Slow Zone, New Dimensions Rehabilitation, and The Centre of Rehabilitation Excellence.

Thomas Alton Lorren, III, received a BS in biology from Pacific Union College in 1976. He earned a BS in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University. Tom is currently a managing partner/owner in The Centre of Rehabilitation Excellence, majority owner and CEO of New Dimensions Rehabilitation , and a co-owner of the Super Slow Zone of Tyler.



This course is approved for 1.0 CCUs under Texas Physical Therapy Association's Accredited Provider status.
