At the conclusion of this program, the learner will be able to:

1.) Summarize the essential components of a Parkinson’s specific exercise program to optimize brain and body benefits. 
2.)  Create an effective and evidence-based exercise/treatment program for a client diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. 
3.) Adapt a variety of Parkinson’s specific treatment techniques to patients at various ability levels and rehabilitation settings. 
4.) Identify common complicating factors that can accompany Parkinson’s Disease (postural dysfunction, autonomic dysfunction, dystonia/dyskinesia, non-motor symptoms, etc.) and verbalize basic troubleshooting strategies to utilize clinically

Speaker Bio:

Sarah King, PT, DPT received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas State University in 2012 and founded her Parkinson’s specialized private practice, Invigorate PT & Wellness, in 2014. She is a Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR!) Certified Therapist and works with her clients on establishing a personalized Parkinson’s Plan of Attack that includes PD-specific exercises as well as nutritional and wellness strategies to maximize their brain health and healing potential. Currently she offers 1-on-1 in-home services as well as a 5-week online Parkinson’s exercise program called The Booster Program. In 2016 Sarah co-founded The NeuroCollaborative which offers a space for fellow rehab professionals with an #iloveneuro spirit to gather, collaborate, learn, and grow.
