TPTA Cares

This year the TPTA Cares project will be helping the Salvation Army of Corpus Christi on Thursday, October 26th.

The Salvation Army helps cure hunger daily by providing nutritious meals to anyone in need. This includes homeless people of all ages, as well as individuals and families who may be down on their luck and in need of some extra assistance. In addition to addressing the immediate symptoms of food insecurity, our programs are designed to help identify and treat its root cause. Over time, this holistic approach to the physical, mental and spiritual needs of each person helps move many from 'hungry' to 'fully healed'.

Volunteers will be meeting first at the Omni Corpus Christi (1:30pm) to get their volunteer t-shirts and instructions for the event. At 2pm, volunteers will head over to the nearby Salvation Army Food Processing Center to help with making food boxes and bags for their food pantry.

Everyone should wear clothes that they don’t mind getting dirty, and we recommend closed-toe shoes as opposed to flip flops.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please complete the form on this page. An email will go out a week before conference with further instructions on where to meet at the Omni hotel.

Thank you for choosing to volunteer!
