Cervicogenic Dizziness: Assessment Techniques and Treatment Recommendations

 

DATE: Wednesday, April 18th from 6:30- 8:00 pm

Course Objectives: At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:

1. Understand basic vestibular terminology

2. Have a basic knowledge of common vestibular system disorders e.g. Peripheral vs Central

3. Understand the difference in cervicogenic dizziness and Peripheral/Central disorders and the special tests involved with the Dx of cervicogenic dizziness

4. Design a POC for the treatment of cervicogenic dizziness.

 

Speaker: Dillon Bomer

Dillon Bomer is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2010 and his Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Texas San Antonio in 2006. He began his career in 2010 at Christus Santa Rosa Rehabilitation Center and has worked at Audie Murphy since 2011 when he began seeing vestibular patients for the VA. Dillon began working for the Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center in 2013 and was designated as a Polytrauma/Vestibular specialist by the VA in 2015. Dillon is currently working on a qualitative research project looking into the benefits of Foundation Training for LBP patients and will welcome his first child in August 2018.
