Comments Needed for HHSC Rule Concerning Physical Therapy Telehealth Services in School Settings

The following rule is being considered by the Health and Human Services Commission for School-Based Telehealth Services. In the rule, Occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists are specifically listed as being eligible to be reimbursed for delivering telehealth services to children in school-based settings, but Physical Therapist are not.

Please follow the link below and add your voice to the public comments as to why PTs should also be included in the list of practitioners who can be reimbursed for telehealth services in school-base services. This is a vital issue to those PTs who work in those settings, and much more important to the patients they serve.

This link is to the pdf where you can read the proposed rule.
