Strength and Hypertrophy Principles for Rehab (NTD)

This course will teach you the basics of applying hypertrophy and strength training principles in a rehabilitation program based on current clinical evidence and scientific research. The safety and importance of these training principles will reviewed using examples from clinical research and clinical practice. The course cannot cover all of the important principles and application principles, but will serve as an introduction that can serve clinicians across a wide range of practice settings. 1CCU

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Improve understanding of hypertrophy principles and its application to rehab populations;
2. Improve understanding of strength training principles and its applications to rehab populations;
3. Have an understanding of importance of activity levels for average population within the USA
4. Improve confidence in applying exercise principles to “frail” populations.

Speaker(s)
Jacob H. Templar PT, DPT, OCS, Cert. MDT works in Rochester NY for Rochester Regional Health in their largest outpatient office. He regularly works with individuals who have spine and oral fascial pain, refugees and at risk populations.  Jacob did his undergraduate and graduate work at Utica College. Jacob has presented Webinars nationally and internationally for several Universities including The Ohio State, Oxford England, and University of Del Rosa Colombia. He spent 3 years working with Elite level powerlifters under The Strength Guys, and has taught several continuing education courses for APTA districts throughout the country.  Jacob also does strength/powerlifting coaching for ATP Performance LLC. Jacob is also known as Strengthinevidence_physio on social media where he works to communicate emerging evidence to health professionals.
