Attendance will help learners gain a better understanding of the science and art application of Body Composition Methods and Assessment. The teaching module aligns with physical therapy’s role in community health education and prevention. The material content is directly related to CAPTE educational standards for the DPT degree. 1CCU

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:

1.State why assessing body composition is clinically relevant;
2.Summarize the different method to assess body composition;
3.Differentiate validated methods versus not validated methods to assess body composition;
4.Describe why sophisticated methods to assess body composition are not necessarily better than clinical methods such as girths and skinfolds.
