Following this course, the attendee will be able to understand the importance of proper mobility, form, and correcting common positional faults at the CTJ to maximize performance during CrossFit movements. 1CCU 

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the concept of Crossfit and the 12 Foundational Movements;
2. Recognize the mechanics and common faults associated with for Crossfit movements;
3. Evaluate and diagnose CTJ dysfunction in this population;
4. Implement appropriate manual therapy and therapeutic exercise interventions;
5. Understand how to safely return this population to Crossfit.

Speaker(s)
Christopher Basa, PT, DPT, CSOMT is a residency trained sports physical therapist at Houston Methodist The Woodlands. He is also a Fellow in training through Institute for Athlete Regeneration. Chris graduated in 2014 with a degree in Kinesiology- Exercise Science from University of Houston. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in Austin, TX in 2017. When Chris is not advancing his own skills through continuous learning and personal growth, he can be found flying his drone and making videos.

Brian M.Tate, PT, DPT, SCS, FAAOMPT is a native Houstonian who currently lives in The Woodlands and works for Houston Methodist the Woodlands Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a sports certified specialist and a fellow of orthopedic and sports manual therapy. He guides his treatment through evidence based practice and utilizes problem based learning through his mentoring. He and his wife recently welcomed a newborn into their lives, whom now takes up all of his free time, and sleep.
