Prosthetics are an integral part of physical therapy treatments. Knowing its applications and current technologies expand knowledge to a different level. It is important to know when physical therapists start referrals and team up with prosthetists and enhancing patient care. 2CCUs

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
1: Know the amputation demographics, pre-prosthetic considerations, fitting timeliness.
2: Understand post-operative considerations, and lower limb functional levels.
3: State components: indications and contraindications and functional outcomes testing.

Speaker(s)
Kenneth O'Meara, CO, LO is a licensed orthotist in Texas and have extensive clinical experience in prosthetic fabrication, custom carbon IDEO bracing with emphasis on interdisciplinary patient care at the Center for the Intrepid, Brooke Army Medical Center. He currently works with Baker Orthotics and Prosthetics at Fort Worth, Texas.

David Holt, BA, CP, LP, LOA, is a licensed orthotist assistant and licensed prosthetist in Texas, and have extensive experience in evaluation, fabrication design, fitting and emphasis on patient education and interdisciplinary care. He is a senior prosthetist and partner at Custom Care Orthotics and Prosthetics at Tyler and now a division of Baker Orthotics and Prosthetics.
