Billing for patient services is an essential element of physical therapy practice. Payment policy, billing, coding, and reimbursements change constantly. This lecture will provide Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants and office administrative staff information on essential billing and coding changes to maximize compliance and accuracy of billing. 1CCU

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Explain changes in Medicare billing made effective in 2020.
2. Identify new modifiers used in 2020 and define their meaning.
3. Defend the use of coding strategies and modifiers.

Speaker(s)
Rhonda Manning, PT, DPT, PCS graduated from UTEP in 1999 (MPT) and UTMB in 2012 (DPT). She practiced primarily in pediatrics until joining the faculty of UTEP in 2017. Has experience as private practice owner from 2004 – 2017. She currently teaches the Management and Finance content in the UTEP DPT program.
