Leadership RVU: How to Supercharge Communication with Your Patients Using Tactical Empathy (ETD)
Thursday, May 21, 2020, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM CDT
Category: District Meetings

In our relationships with others we seek three things: to be Respected, Valued and Understood. Demonstrating respect and value for others can be easily accomplished through specific and tangible actions. Demonstrating understanding for another person, however, is more difficult. And when we get it wrong our relationships may never be the same. The good news is that demonstrating understanding, through use of tactical empathy, can be learned and quickly mastered. The “Leadership RVU” program will provide interactive examples and teach tangible and proven techniques to tactically create empathy in your communications. The goal of the program is to improve each leader's ability to more successfully connect with people important in their lives through improved understanding, the most important element of Leadership RVU. 1CCU

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Identify two areas where their communication can be improved by tactically creating empathy;
2. Use "validation" to successfully create empathy in their communication with others.
