Dizziness, imbalance, and f alls are common and significantly interfere with the ability to function an d enjoy life. Vestibular Rehab Therapy (VRT) is a sub-specialty of neurolog ic physical therapy that focuses on evaluating and treating inner ear (vest ibular) and neurological issues commonly resulting in problems with imbalan ce, dizziness, vertigo, or vision. Usually, finding the right specialist an d getting an accurate diagnosis is the most challenging task for people wit h dizziness and imbalance. Due to the vast variety of symptoms and root cau ses, imbalance and dizziness are not always clear to your primary care doct or. Symptoms may include imbalance, a sensation of motion or spinning, vert igo, disequilibrium, dizziness, falls, and vision problems. These issues ma y be accompanied by difficulty concentrating, foggy-headedness, anxiety and depression. Thankfully, vestibular and balance problems are largely treata ble through specialized neurological, vestibular, and balance rehab. 2CCUs
