Technology is healthcare is rapidly expanding to all areas of patient care. Telehealth is the use of e lectronic communication to remotely provide health care information and ser vices. This 1-hour introduction to telehealth will give attendees a basic u nderstanding of telehealth including the different models of technology, op tions for use in practice, practice issues addressed by telehealth, options of types of platforms, and general rules and regulations. This two hour co urse will enable the participant to understand and immediately integrate cu rrent best evidence in telehealth into clinical practice. 1CCU

Dr. Mar
k Milligan, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT is an orthopedic manual therapis
t that specializes in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal spina
l conditions and is Board Certified in Orthopaedics and a Fellow of the Ame
rican Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. He is also certified in dry ne
edling and in Therapeutic Pain Science. He earned his Doctorate of Physical
Therapy at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine in Denver, Color
ado. He went on to complete an Orthopaedic Physical Residency and Orthopaed
ic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship with Evidence in Motion (EIM). He is
a full-time clinician and owner of Revolution Human Physical Therapy and Ed
ucation, a micro-education company. He is also a physical therapist with En
compass Home Health in Austin, Texas. Dr. Milligan serves as adjunct facult
y for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Programs at South College and The Univ
ersity of St. Augustine. Dr. Milligan is also primary faculty for Musculosk
eletal Courses. He previously taught trigger point dry needling courses for
EIM across the country. Mark has presented at numerous state and national
conferences about dry needling and has been published in peer reviewed jour
nals. He is an active member of the TPTA, APTA, and AAOMPT and has great in
terest in governmental affairs.
