Physical therapy is a state licensed health care profession and actions taken by the legislature impact the way physical therapists and physical therapist assistants practice, the way they interact with insurance companies and are paid, and the way their patients access and obtain physical therapist services. It is important for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to be knowledgeable of the potential bills that the legislature will consider during the state legislative session so that they can advocate for their patients and for themselves. 1CCU
